Emergency Plan — Card for Guides
What to do in an emergency. All phones on One NZ will be using Starlink, which provides satellite phone coverage.

Quick steps after requesting assistance
- Stay calm — help is coming.
- Keep the group together.
- Send a message (if possible): number of people / injuries / exact problem.
- Call Mark 027 496 6111.
- Wait for the helicopter or rescue team.
- When safe — call Mark again.

- Split the group.
- Try to cross a flooded river.
- Wait “to see if it gets better”.
